Thinking about what to do next

I’m remembering about kittens being slightly different than puppies. Panky is at that stage now of playing peek-a-boo, hiding behind the corner of my sofa or loveseat to observe or size up where the object of his attention is. I tend to think it’s all part of honing his feline skills. I crack a smile when I see his hind end raise and sway ever so slightly to get himself ready for the ‘pounce’.  He has learned that he is not allowed near the front or back door, and not behind certain items like the stove or refrigerator. Yesterday, it was testing his limits along with climbing to new heights. He was motiviated by knowing his most favorite toy – Wand with feathery mini boas- is stored until our special playtime. Yup, we have scheduled playtimes, a little holdover from Dog Mom-isms.
